Angela Haggerty was dismissed from her job with The Herald for undermining a legal decision made by her employers. She supported Graham Spiers who told lies and could not back it up. This has nothing to do with being Catholic or Protestant, this has nothing to do with The Establishment. Where do people like Gerry Hassan, James McEnaney and Kenneth Roy appear from with their hate -filled religious drivel? Who actually are these people? There appears to be a huge list of unknown journalists and self proclaimed experts crawling from under the floorboards to protect these ex Herald employees. . Pay attention, it won’t happen, they will not be re-employed, they broke the trust and integrity of their employers, they are out, finished, busted if you like, they cannot continue their hate filled bigoted abuse from within that paper. It is time to put this “Rangers control the press nonsense” to bed , there is nothing further from the truth.
I would suggest the aforementioned “authorities” take a good look round twitter . Tell the world what you see, tell the world of the hate filled anti-Protestant sectarianism filling tweet after tweet after tweet. I can prove my side of the argument easily with facts. It is not my aim to try and baffle readers with fancy wording, preferring to tell it in lay-mans terms. All we hear about in the press is the nasty words aimed at Catholics, those nasty songs about blood, and boys named Billy. Never do we hear about the same nastiness being directed at the other side of the divide, nothing about Dirty Orange Bastards, Monkey Huns and of course the now weekly IRA terrorist songs and chants.
All the top jobs in the judicial and court system are filled by people perceived to be Catholic or favour that religion. From Justice Minister to the Crown office, they all seem to ignore the sectarianism aimed at “The Protestant Establishment”, strangely enough so do those who created the Offensive behaviour at Football act in Hollyrood. It is also odd that Government funded “anti -Sectarian charities” fail to respond to questions about this hatred .
Just the other day a footballer moved to Rangers from up the East coast….this is what he was greeted with from a Glasgow football fan… 
……….the little Shamrocks may well give away the club supported by the female poster who obviously does not know the religion of one Michael Francis O’Halloran, Rangers player, the name may well give it away Mr Hassan. And of course the usual ” I never wrote that “excuse, one used frequently that Police Scotland can do nothing to press charges against. Of course these vile tweets also come from other football supporters who favour the green team in Edinburgh……
…….very nice sentiments indeed and again very little said about this. If I can see this on twitter then I am sure Police Scotland, Frank Mullholland, the BBC and Gerry Hassan can see it too , so back to you Mr Hassan and Mr Roy, have a proper balanced look around twitter and Facebook then come back and tell the world you are happy with the sectarian abuse directed at the Protestant Establishment.
And as for the comments of James McEnaney , well nothing really exciting about his Haggerty supporting CommonSpace blog. Just as he says , there is an idiot in every walk of life, he joins a growing list of Rangers hating idiots who somehow are failing to grasp the fact that this was a legal battle the Herald would never win. Mob rule this and establishment that….give it a rest people, this sectarian argument does not wash anymore. Don’t hide behind a blog Mr McEnaney come out and debate face to face about sectarianism that is a two way street, bring your facts and proof…………….go on I’m waiting.
